Position Summary
Måne Energi is seeking a Process Engineer to support the development and delivery of safe, efficient, and sustainable process solutions across energy, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
The successful candidate will contribute throughout the project lifecycle, from concept development and feasibility studies to detailed engineering, commissioning support, and operational improvement initiatives. The role requires strong engineering fundamentals, analytical thinking, and effective interdisciplinary collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain process engineering deliverables throughout project execution.
- Perform process calculations, simulations, and technical evaluations.
- Prepare and review process documentation and design basis reports.
- Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs), process descriptions, and operating philosophies.
- Participate in risk assessments, design reviews, and technical workshops.
- Support equipment sizing and specification activities.
- Coordinate interfaces with mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, automation, and commissioning disciplines.
- Evaluate opportunities for process optimization, energy efficiency, and operational improvements.
- Support testing, startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, safety requirements, and engineering standards.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
Process Engineering
Chemical Engineering
Energy Engineering
Petroleum Engineering
Environmental Engineering
Or a related engineering discipline
Strong understanding of process engineering principles and industrial systems.
Ability to interpret technical documentation and engineering drawings.
Structured and analytical approach to problem solving.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Proficiency in written and spoken English
Preferred
Experience from:
- Oil & Gas
- Offshore facilities
- Renewable energy projects
- Industrial processing facilities
- EPCM project environments
Familiarity with:
- Process simulations
- Mass and energy balances
- Process safety principles
- Commissioning and startup activities
- Risk assessments and HAZID/HAZOP participation
- Regulatory and environmental requirements
Norwegian language proficiency (written and/or verbal) is considered an advantage and may be beneficial for communication with customers, suppliers, authorities, and project stakeholders.
