Position Summary
Måne Energi is looking for an Instrument Engineer who is passionate about delivering reliable and practical engineering solutions. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, development, and lifecycle management of instrumentation systems used in energy, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
The role requires technical competence, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines to ensure safe, efficient, and maintainable installations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop instrumentation designs supporting project and operational requirements.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation throughout project execution.
- Define instrument specifications and technical requirements.
- Participate in equipment selection and technical evaluations.
- Support development of instrument layouts, hook-ups, and installation solutions.
- Review vendor documentation and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Coordinate activities with process, automation, electrical, mechanical, and telecom disciplines.
- Contribute to risk assessments and technical reviews.
- Support testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and operational improvements.
- Promote safe engineering practices and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
Instrumentation Engineering
Automation Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Process Control Engineering
Or a related engineering discipline
Ability to understand technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and coordination abilities.
Proficiency in spoken and written English.
Preferred
Experience with one or more of the following:
- Pressure measurement systems
- Temperature measurement systems
- Flow measurement systems
- Level instrumentation
- Analytical instrumentation
- Control valves and actuated valves
- Field instrumentation
- Instrument installation design
- Commissioning and startup activities
Knowledge of:
- Industrial process facilities
- Functional safety principles
- Instrumentation lifecycle management
- Technical standards and engineering best practices
- Energy, offshore, industrial, or infrastructure projects
- Norwegian language proficiency (written and/or verbal) is considered an advantage and may be beneficial for communication with customers, suppliers, authorities, and project stakeholders.
