Position Summary
Måne Energi is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the development and delivery of electrical engineering solutions across energy, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
The successful candidate will contribute throughout the project lifecycle, from concept development and design through procurement support, construction follow-up, commissioning, and operational improvements. The role requires sound engineering judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop electrical engineering deliverables in accordance with project requirements and applicable standards.
- Prepare technical specifications, calculations, reports, and design documentation.
- Design and review electrical power distribution systems.
- Participate in equipment sizing, selection, and technical evaluations.
- Support preparation and review of electrical layouts, schematics, and system diagrams.
- Coordinate technical interfaces with automation, instrumentation, telecom, process, and mechanical disciplines.
- Review supplier and vendor documentation.
- Participate in design reviews, technical workshops, and client meetings.
- Support installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
- Promote safety, quality, reliability, and maintainability in engineering solutions.
- Onshore/Offshore survey/FAT.
- Estimating of cost and weight in a multi discipline environment
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
Electrical Engineering
Energy Engineering
Power Systems Engineering
Automation Engineering
Or a related engineering discipline
Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles.
Ability to interpret technical documentation and engineering drawings.
Structured and analytical working approach.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Proficiency in written and spoken English.
Experience with ATEX requirements and ATEX certified equipment.
Preferred
Experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Low-voltage (LV) systems
- High-voltage (HV) systems
- Power distribution systems
- Variable speed drives
- Motor control systems
- Emergency power systems
- Industrial electrical installations
- Renewable energy projects
- Offshore or onshore energy facilities
Knowledge of:
- Electrical design standards
- Protection and control systems
- Earthing and bonding systems
- Electrical safety principles
- Power system studies
- Energy efficiency and sustainability practices
- NORSOK and relevant standards/regulatives for NCS.
- Norwegian language proficiency (written and/or verbal) is considered an advantage and may be beneficial for communication with customers, suppliers, authorities, and project stakeholders.
