Position Summary
Måne Energi is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to help design, implement, and maintain secure digital and industrial environments across engineering and infrastructure projects.
The successful candidate will contribute to protecting operational technology (OT), information technology (IT), industrial control systems, cloud services, and digital assets throughout the project and asset lifecycle. The role combines technical expertise, risk awareness, and collaboration to support secure and resilient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in cybersecurity assessments and risk evaluations for engineering and operational environments.
- Support the design and implementation of secure architectures for industrial and business systems.
- Review technical solutions to ensure cybersecurity requirements are incorporated during project execution.
- Assist in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating cybersecurity vulnerabilities and threats.
- Contribute to incident response planning and cybersecurity preparedness activities.
- Support cybersecurity audits, verification activities, and compliance reviews.
- Participate in vendor evaluations from a cybersecurity perspective.
- Develop and maintain cybersecurity documentation, procedures, and technical standards.
- Promote cybersecurity awareness and best practices across projects and operations.
- Collaborate with automation, electrical, telecom, instrumentation, and IT disciplines.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
Cybersecurity
Computer Engineering
Information Security
Network Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Automation Engineering
Or a related discipline
Understanding of cybersecurity principles, network technologies, and system security.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively.
Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Preferred
Experience with one or more of the following:
- Industrial Control Systems (ICS)
- SCADA systems
- Operational Technology (OT)
- Industrial automation environments
- Cloud platforms
- Network security
- Identity and access management
- Security monitoring and detection
- Cybersecurity governance and compliance
Knowledge of:
- IEC 62443
- NIST Cybersecurity Framework
- ISO 27001
- Risk management methodologies
- Security architecture principles
- Secure software and system lifecycle practices
- Norwegian language proficiency (written and/or verbal) is considered an advantage and may be beneficial for communication with customers, suppliers, authorities, and project stakeholders.
