Position Summary
Måne Energi is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to support the successful transition of facilities, systems, and equipment from construction and installation to safe operational use.
The role involves planning, coordination, verification, testing, and handover activities across multidisciplinary projects. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, construction, operations, vendors, and client representatives to ensure systems are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in commissioning planning and systemization activities.
- Prepare commissioning documentation, procedures, and work packages.
- Support completion and handover activities from construction to operations.
- Coordinate commissioning activities across multiple disciplines and contractors.
- Perform inspections, testing, verification, and functional checks.
- Ensure equipment and systems are commissioned in accordance with project specifications and operational requirements.
- Manage punch-list activities and follow-up actions.
- Support startup and operational readiness activities.
- Participate in vendor inspections, factory acceptance tests (FAT), and site acceptance tests (SAT).
- Promote safe execution of commissioning activities.
- Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
Engineering
Automation
Electrical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Instrumentation Engineering
Process Engineering
Or related technical disciplines
Understanding of project execution and commissioning processes.
Ability to interpret technical documentation, drawings, and specifications.
Strong planning, coordination, and communication skills.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Preferred
Experience in one or more of the following:
- Commissioning and startup activities
- Oil & Gas facilities
- Offshore projects
- Renewable energy projects
- Industrial facilities
- Process plants
- Brownfield modifications
- Greenfield developments
Knowledge of:
- Completion management systems
- FAT and SAT activities
- Mechanical completion processes
- System handover requirements
- Operations readiness activities
- Risk management and safe work practices
- Norwegian language proficiency (written and/or verbal) is considered an advantage and may be beneficial for communication with customers, suppliers, authorities, and project stakeholders.
